I'd like to add my thanks to Carl, Charlotte and the whole team at his yard. I have always admired his riding, but was so heartened to see what a great horseman he clearly is. His empathy and common sense approach really teases the best out of each horse.
I wasn't expecting to be quite so moved as I was when he was speaking about the problems his horses have had. When he gave us a history of Don Archie, whilst working him, I couldn't believe he was talking about the same expressive big horse he was riding around the arena. I was almost ready to run out in tears, it was something that really resonated with Larri and I.
What a wonderful day for us, and I took away a great deal from it. Little bits and pieces I will carry with me forever, for Quadi and future horses
