Enlightened Equitation Simulator Workshops Pioneer of teaching with horse movement simulators, Heather Moffett, offers two and three day workshops at her farm in glorious South Devon. There is no one in the world with more experience than Heather in working with these machines. In eleven years, she has taught hundreds of riders from all over the globe. Heather's teaching methods are unique, extremely simple, achievable and very effective. A teacher of 37 years standing, Heather sought for over 25 years to find someone who would make these simulators. Twelve years ago, a friend Jonathan Broughton-Heyes, designed the Equisimulator, and the teaching methods that Heather had developed to work in conjunction with a simulator, have been proven beyond doubt. Teaching and lecturing with them, as far afield as Sydney Olympic Equestrian Centre, Australia, The USA and Europe, Heather was also a guest lecturer at the Equitana in Germany in March 2007. In hand/long reining workshops with Becky Holden Top UK clicker trainer and classical in hand/long reining specialist Becky Holden (see Horse magazine, February and March '07) is also assistant trainer at East Leigh Farm, and offers in hand and long reining workshops. Learn how to teach your horse from the ground first - all of our horses are taught the movements on the ground before teaching them under saddle. It makes it so much easier for both horse and rider, and corrections can also be made so much more easily, from the ground. "Just wanted to say a big thank you to both you and Becky for the 2 day in-hand course, it was very, very good and I came away feeling motivated and looking forward to practicing what I had learnt.
