I thought of this thread today when Boysie very pointedly went to the back of his box and started nudging his fly rug with his nose while looking at me.  :laugh:

("Ahem. We've had our ride, and I've had my after ride treat stretches, now can you get on with putting this thing on me and take me out to the field for the night?" )

Conference Overview

The first day of the 2017 conference takes place in the comfortable surroundings of the Belton Woods Hotel and the Second day at the Premier Equestrian and Show Centre Arena UK. It is nice when science catches up with general experience. Con tells me if she wants her rug. if the weather is iffy, and I go and get it, if she wants it she stands quietly in the field for me to put it on. If not she disappears over the horizon! I think they can tell approaching weather too, based on the same experience. Also I get told off if I try to take her rug off against her wishes!
I wonder if horses are better rug predictors  if they live out full time??????? My instinct says they should be?

I saw that! Sounds like a pretty good experiment and great to see this sort of thing pursued in a rigorous scientific manner. Wonder if I can train Dino to ask for a rug?  :db:
