Hestero for long temr loan

  • This is a very tough decision but but i really don't think keeping him will be in his best interests.  So I'm looking for a long term loan home for him, pref to an ee bod. I just don't have the skills or the time to do him right and fear I could create a rather large monster. He's 2 in Sept and already 15.2hh. Someone closeish would be preferred but wherever the move will be a lot for him to deal with he's never set foot into equine transport.

  • I cannot start to think how difficult a decision this must be for you, and what a brave one.   I hope the right solution presents itself, and soon.

    Fingers crossed for you.

I know how tough this one is for you having chatted it through last visit. At least you are being proactive and realising before a problem starts that you may not have enough experience for him. I sincerely hope someone steps forwards that is right for him, they will end up with a true friend.

Why not start feeding him nearby, then on the ramp of your box, letting him choose to go on the ramp if he wants. At least that way he won't be totally terrified of it.

    More   for you.

  • I know how tough this decision must be Viv

BUT - there is a very great pleasure in seeing your horse flourish with someone else - doing things you know they'd never do with you.  Like, I dunno, hacking, going to dressage comps, showing, doing concours d'elegance....  That kind of think

I know you'll find someone you trust, just as much as I trust you with Tilly, and you will get to feel that same pleasure :)

  • Thanks folks.  Scared of putting him to a broader audience but if anyone here knows someone outside the ee circle then put them in touch.  I need double the time with him, time for me to learn then time for me to teach him and even if he was my only equine id struggle.  Hes at a stage where he needs to start doing and seeing more that he can with me.

Olivia I will be eternally grateful for tilly and everything she is bringing to life for me. Its funny the one that will remain is the one I dont own, some friend's of mine really don't get that at all
