  • Has anyone had any experience? Good or bad. Is the grip any good? Do they fit well (almost round hooves) any rubbing?
I am looking for an alternative to Old Macs, purely because they look so clumpy, but am limited on choice because my mare has round hooves. Tried easy boots but not impressed with grip on mud.....and we have a lot of mud at the moment :D

  • I have these for Chexs and Lucy. Lucy being as she is, refuses to wear boots at all, so am unable to comment there lol

Chexs, he has more round feet and splat feet. They fit well around the bottom of his hoof, but I need to really tighten the front strap and the back strap is nice and snug. He likes them he marches in them rather fast. Good grip for us down the tarmac hill, not noticed any slips down hill in grass or mud. We use them mainly for hacking on the roads.

Also used them to rehab a lami case, she more of less lived in them with pads. Was going really well, almost back to riding (after vet said we will lose her if we do not put heart bars on ) then we sold the farm, last I heard she had shoes on as owner CBA to put boots on and off......

  • My EP loves them and recommends them to any of his clients whose horses are struggling with transitioning or other issues. He said they are much softer and more flexible than Boas or Old Macs, or the other older types of shoes.  :)
