This list was compiled by a hoof care practitioner in Australia. It is pretty comprehensive.

Enlightened Equitation does not take responsibility for any of the content.

This is a list of resources available on the internet for people to use at their own discretion.

I haven't read all of them so if there is anything in them which causes a forum member concern, please let a moderator know.

Keeping a list like this up to date is difficult - if any of the links don't work or a page has moved, please let me know. Similarly, if you come accross site which you think should be on here, let me know and we can add it.

From Gretchen Fathauer's web site. Examples of heartbars failing, trimming mistakes, damage from horseshoe nails, high heels and bars causing navicular syndrome, and using hairlines for correct hoof balancing. How getting the coffin bones ground-parallel results in harder, thicker soles; why high heels result in soft, thin soles in the toe area. This same trim, except for a less aggressive backing up of the toe, works on navicular as well.

Registration is required to view the forum with an accompanying email to the address below, giving a brief outline of your interest in the AEPA. This board is for Equine Podiatry enthusiasts, so if that is not your cup of tea, there probably won't be much of interest for you. However, if it is something you are interested in please click on the above link.

If you do have problems accessing the AEPAUK forum during the registration process, please contact Justine on justine@aepauk.org giving your "real" name if you are using a pseudonym.
