Thanks to another board I've come across this magazine. I have to say I haven't read much yet but it looks fascinating and I thought it would be of interest to people on here

In my opinion, a horse is the animal to have. 1100 pounds of raw muscle, power, grace, and sweat between your legs - it's something you just can't get from a pet hamster.

There was a technical problem with paypal. I just got a lovely email from the lady nadia to explain and appologise. She has given me a temporary login to use. I didnt even contact them to ask. Thats great service...I agree heather, this does seem like a really good magazine. I can see i am not going to get any studying done this week either!

Hi Kandi,
I seem to have had nothing but problems with Paypal. I had a number of hoax emails last year purporting to have been from Paypal, advising me of some very strange and unlikely purchases!!!!- I was supposed to have made from my account. When I checked, thankfully nothing had been debited, but it all looked so totally legit.
So when I was sent a new user agreement, which required my bank/credit card details, I checked with my bank who advised me not to release the details.
It now seems that the agreement was legit, so my PP account has been limited, and I cant access it to pay for my subscription- aaaaarrrggghhh!!
So it says on my account screen, to 'click here to resolve'- which then advisees me I have to agree to the new user agreement. I then downloaded the PDF file of the new user agreement, but there is nowhere on it that says, where or how you b****y well agree to it!!!
Has anyone else had this sort of problem with Paypal? If I didnt want to subscribe so badly to Horses for Life, I think I would just give up!

I have only used paypal a few times to buy random c**p from ebay that i dont really need, so not many problems, but boyfriend had to do all sorts of authorisation stuff.
I just now have a phobic response to anything to do with forms, paper, documents, authorisation, agreements, accounts or numbers. I hate it all. I just binned about 10 envelopes that came through the mail, unopened cos i hate the stuff. If its important they will phone me.
There is a conspiracy of people who sit in offices and create forest loads of forms to send just to annoy me....hold on my phobia has deteriorated into a paranoid delusion!
'click here to resolve' - yea right.....click here to be driven to a place where we will torture you until you lose the will to live.

Have you seen the video of M. Lesage and Taine, Jane? What a contrast with the tight, overbent horses of today!!
Editor Nadja King wants to chat with me and is phoning me tomorrow- she is surely onto a winner with this excellent magazine.

I've just subscribed. The video is sublime...my fave bit was the rein-back, I can't believe how chilled it was...
"Would you like to rein back for me now?"
"But of course"
 But seriously, that's what they looked like. Harmonious & having the best time. And Taine is quite leggy, no excuse for the bulging necks, sawn-in noses & jarring steps of modern competition dressage.
Can't wait to read the rest of the site, what a brill find, thanks for posting the link!

I started, but became unhappy because there was no little padlock at the bottom of the screen when it asked for my credit card details. Anyway I've never yet been able to get PayPal to accept a payment from me because living in Saudi Arabia is not on their list of options.

Well, Nadja, editor of Horses for Life, finally caught up with me on the phone at 10.30 last night- and we finally put the receivers down at 1am, UK time!!!! <_< To say that we think totally alike is an understatement, and have exactly the same goals.
I will be writing for the magazine, and also trying my best to help her promote it. Pierre Cousyn rang me earlier last night and I asked him if he had come across the magazine- he had subscribed earlier that day, and the same thing happened a couple of days ago when I emailed my pal Dr Bill Sanders in California, he had also subscribed that very day! Seems that this magazine is bringing together a lot of like minds, and having spoken at such length to Nadja last night, I am even more convinced of her absolutely genuine desire to preserve true Classical equitation for successive generations.
