Fantasia is 2 years and 8 months now, and we went ahead and put my ten year old daughter up on her for a few minutes.   The goal was just to stand there, relaxed, and let Fantasia get the feel of someone on her back.   Olivia (my daughter) was overjoyed, and Fantasia handled it so well.   So exciting!!  You can see the slideshow of the big event here (I love Fantasia's expressive face):   Cheesy

The horse is wonderfully beautiful and so is your daughter...She has the same shade of red hair as my mother!
Your horse is just lovely, glad everything worked out well.

I must put in a shameless plug for a helmet though. especially with Fantasia being so young, she can be un-predictable.
She really is a lovely color though...Buckskins are one of my personal faves of all times..SHe has such lovely dapples too!!!

You are SO right about the helmet.  We did this on the spur of the moment and I only realized afterwards that Olivia wasn't wearing her helmet!  Some Mom I am, huh?  I'm spanking myself right now.

Other than that, thank you so much for the compliments on my two sweet girls.   I LOVE buckskin, too, and never imagined I'd have an Iberian buckskin (half-Iberian at least).  She also  has the gorgeous metallic sheen, which never shows up in pictures.  She glows.   Olivia and Tasia have such a special bond.   :P

Yep, we're in Texas.  I see you're in PA.  Fantasia came from a breeder in New York, so she passed by you on her way to me.    Smiley

Hee hee.  It's so easy for Olivia and me to share Fantasia now, since she's not being ridden.   Trouble lies ahead.....

What lovely pictures, your horse is beautiful and your daughter looks so happy with her.  Fantasia has a very kind face, and doesn't look too perturbed by it all!  She is a Morgan cross isn't she - I recognise that look anywhere (I love Morgans and have had three!).

Thanks for looking, Vicky, Erica and Sandpiper.     :P

Sandpiper:  yes, she's half Morgan and half Lusitano.  Her dam was an old-style Vermont bloodlines Morgan - really gorgeous, round and baroque.  She passed away when Fantasia was about 6 months old.   :(
Her sire is a cremello Lusitano.

I can honestly say the same about your horses, Trish.  I think our taste in horses is the same!   :P

I have a couple that Fantasia's breeder sent me.  I haven't scanned them, though, and our scanner is down right now.  Need to fix that.

Thanks!

What a beautiful horse, she looks so calm and gentle, and you can tell that she and Olivia have a special bond. I bet you are really proud of both of them!
