It's come in handy twice so far today!
First was when I was putting on Chevy's new blanket, I'd unclipped him to slide it over his head and forgot to clip it back on. I walked behind him to do up the leg straps when he walked off, I said whoa and he stopped dead and stayed happily in place while I fiddled with the straps, made lots of noise and adjusted the blanket.. he's never done that before! A week ago he would have been walking off to the haypile across the leanto. This is after one schooling session in the meaning of whoa and target touching

The second is again with the blanket, I wanted to see how it fit when he put his head down to eat and didn't have any food so I looped the leadrope into a knot and held it down low, he promptly dropped his head to touch it and held it there!
I'm definetly keeping up with this.
I've also discovered that the YO does clicker training with her dogs and has no complaint if I do it as long as I do it correctly (and she'll make sure to tell me when I'm not most likely

) and teach him not to mug me.
