What on earth sort of contraption have they got on the poor horse in the Apassionata add on page 141 of Your Horse (Nov/Dec 05).

I could be wrong but it looks like a huge curb bit attached by the levers of the curb to about 2 inches of chain on a strap around the horse's neck.

Sorry, THAT doesn't look beautiful or exciting to me....

Edited to add - it might be breathtaking for the horsey (my wit knows no bounds  :lol: )

Finally seen the ad you're talking about.  It looks to me like a ridden picture with everything bar the horse photo-shopped out.  The reins undoubtedly continue to a rider's hands  Smiley
