It started snowing at 1pm and it has hardly stopped.  Cassie is tucked up in her stable with a pile of hay, I walked to the yard this afternoon and now I am tired.  I guess we have been lucky this year with the snow but I hope it doesn't last.  Its nice to see, but its a pain to work around it.  rolleyes

No snow, it is too dry. It's minus 6 here (France) and the water is frozen to the house. My main worry is that the horses aren't drinking enough becasue they don't like the cold water.

Plenty here when last went outside - I have moved my car to the road leading in to mine, in the hope that I can get it out in the morning - yard is at the top of a hill  (8 miles away) so it will be dicey getting there!

Things are not great at the yard - everything froze yesterday so we are having to cart water every where - poor Y/O had to do 3 runs with 7 dustbins full of water on the trailer each time, to make sure cows had water - they will have to do the same thing each day until it thaws.

We've got some, but it's melting now.  I think if it get's very cold over night it's going to be completely lethal in the morning.  I've gritted my path and the car is parked at the top of the drive, and I stocked up on essential foods today, so should be sorted if the worst happens Cheesy

It tried here but quickly went to rain so hoping we avoid it. Although will be slippy if freezes.

Have had water every afternoon at yard but not mornings and will have to top up trough tomorrow as not refilling. Advantage of living near the coast, hopefully will avoid the worst.

How about 28"?????  I've been shoveling and snowblowing for TWO fricking days, and my body is complaining!  (Isn't there another thread about cold and age...?)  I'll try later to upload a photo of the way my corrals look -- pathways for the horses and piles more than six feet high!

I'm dead!

LOTS unless your comparing to Christuris of course  Shocked Shocked

Quite pleased as for once it means a nice quiet day where I can get the house work done. Cant do original plan of taking a trip down south to collect a car and Jack literally refuses to go out if the weather is bad so the ponies will be in so i'll just sort them out quickly and get some stuff here done.

We've got about four inches.  It all looks very pretty but the novelty will soon wear off!  Will walk to the yard shortly and perhaps have a bit of a grooming session.

We got it here overnight  sad interesting walk up the hill with two piffling twits inhand this morning  rolleyes  but all safely indoors for now. We have cold forecast for the foreseeable future angry so it's unlikely to clear in a hurry.

Shocked @ yours Christina, that sounds awful, keep safe.

Be careful and stay warm everyone  hug
We've got snow, which half melted overnight and then froze. Its absolutely lethal. But other half was determined to make it to his mountain rescue training today. Even in low range his Defender slid down the hill. I'm not going anywhere until it thaws.  Smiley
