All,

I've been riding my 6 year old Canadian Sport Horse gelding in a 1998 Niedersuss Olympic (MW) for several months.  When I first rode in the saddle, it was very comfortable for me and fit the gelding well.  Now, the saddle still fits the horse well but it is rubbing the skin on the right side of my tailbone.    I'm am wondering if this is a flocking issue (i.e., the saddle is slightly out of balance).  The gelding seems to change shape every few week...withers are coming up..but the tree still looks like a good fit.   The rubbing is annoying and ouchy and makes me not want to really relax my seat.  Any ideas?  I hate to buy yet another saddle (have a Passier Optimum sitting in my guest bedroom).  Thanks, KarenRO

if nothing else get one of heather's seat savers.

also, if it's one sided, with respect, I'd be inclined to get someone watch you ride to see if you are crooked somewhere that you hadn't noticed....

I second what Claire suggests. Get a HM Seatbone Saver.
You won't regret it!
