Isn't Sheila fab! I love how she thinks of the horse first and our `wants' second. So glad you had such a great time there. I really need to get back there for a `check up' because I've slipped into such bad habits  whistle
Bradders, didn't realise Nemo was an endurance boy! If he did the Welsh rides then respect  notworthy
Jo*, I've lurked for a bit and have seen how much you've been doing (far more than me!) Respect! You've done amazing things.
Its funny because the adrenaline is incredible from endurance because you're riding the way you dreamed of as a child - fast canters along hill tops, gallops along forest tracks, the trust involved when your horse hesitates and you tell them, `yes you can do it' up a steep hill, or else when you worry about rough terrain and they go `No its fine, I can do it...' I'd always dreamed of riding being a partnership and that's what you get from good endurance riding, whether competitive or pleasure rides - where else can you actually let your horse go, and go, and go... until its no big deal anymore.
And what's fab, is that now when we do schooling, Tsar listens and goes... `sorry missed that?' `what did you mean,' `ooh, how about this.. is this right?' That's why i worry that I might make a mistake or not make it clear for him....
But its been of an epiphany year for me. I think we all get them from different sources when we ride, but this has been mine. Sorry mad ramblings over now.... will go off and sit in a corner and calm down  paperbag
But thanks again for such a lovely welcome back  Smiley

What a lovely 'coming back' thread!  I absolutely adore Tsar.  Well done on achieving so much when you've clearly been through a lot!

Thanks guys  Embarrassed  hug

Don't aspire to do endurance, just do it. Its such fun! Local groups operate buddy systems so people wanting to have a go can pair up with experienced riders to have a go on the rides with advice and help.  Smiley
