Boots for the larger foot/Equine Fusion Jogging Shoe?

Upwards of 140mm (not sure on precise measurements, not freshly trimmed), which doesn't seem huge but in boot terms tends to be quite limiting. Easyboot edge/bares/epics, old macs etc all no goes (tried, either don't stay on no matter what the adjustment, or not close fitting/light enough to avoid horse 'clomping' in them). Cavallos are great rehab boots after he had infection but again too big and clumpy for work - doesn't move normally in them and usually brushes wearing them.
Only boot we previously had success with was Renegades 2WW which was the largest they did at the time and now no longer fits. They now do a 4WW which is 152mm, but seem to skip 3WW - 4WW will most likely be too big.
Not aware of many other options? Have seen the new Equine Fusion Jogging Shoe from Norway advertised which certainly looks interesting but not widely around being a new boot. Any experiences? The grip looks concerning to me for wet grass/mud (not that we need boots for that, but you always come across them on rides where boots are needed for rougher tracks) but they seem to have good reviews from the little out there about them. He's not prone to rubbing thankfully, but I imagine for some horses the higher fit of them would put people off.

Interesting. is it because the people who manufacture or even design these boots are not horse savvy????
I think that there really is a need for a boot which does everything, and that fits. Perhaps the problem is, that not many people have a horse with huge feet that would require a boot, I dont know.
certainly I know from experience, that new to barefoot people are fearful of trying boots for one reason or another. Not many have the confidence to fit them properly. I'm sure that the trimmers and boot fitters / suppliers on here woud be able to comment on the reasons. But for me, having sold some of my unwanted boots, the time I spent talking to owners was up to two hours, fitting the boots and giving advice on their use, and im just me... But how on earth can a shop owner do that?? .. they cant. leaving the 'possible' buyer frustrated and confused, which I think is why boots don't get used as much as perhaps they would if there was the information out there on hand.
I had to learn by making loads of mistakes, and spending a lot of money. The boa was shocking for rubbing, the G2 was difficult to fit and needed new extended straps putting on to fit round a hairy ankle. Plus fillers inserted to stop them moving.
There really is a market out there for some sort of boot that actually fits all shapes of foot, but I think that would be impossible.
my local tack shop sells boots, the G2 and the boa, they sell one set about every 6 months!.

To be fair the range is improving all the time, its just some of the better and newer boots aren't brought out in larger sizes until the company knows they are in demand and popular with the smaller sizes. Understandable. The smaller sizes being where the market is - particularly in the US and endurance horses. Its just unfortunate for us that most the ones already out in those sizes don't fit him.

I've heard that the Equine Fusion wears out really quickly.

A Facebook friend of mine has been using the Equine Fusion for endurance training and competitions, she is very impressed with them, so impressed that she is now the Spanish agent. I am soon to trial a pair on a transitioning racehorse in training so will have some first hand experience in a few months. My friend has never mentioned anything about them wearing out any quicker than any other boot, however I would imagine she uses boots less often than some people over here although when she does she is probably using them at speed and under pretty tough conditions.
I can ask her if you like?

Sorry for slow reply - that would be wonderful if you don't mind asking her! Thanks
I really need them for periods when the horse is coming back into work, or transitioning from doing a lot of soft surface (muddy tracks/fields) to harder surface (road and/or rocky tracks) work, once in regular work we really don't use boots much at all. However unfortunately for varying reasons he's not had a chance to be in regular work for a while, however hopefully that will be changing at easter. So within reason, wear isn't a huge issue for me - his renegades barely have any wear, almost as new really, and I've had them a good 18 months or so.
