Have all three sizes here, 16/17 and 18". It is simply fantastic! I am so pleased with it.

Here is the underside, the panels are hand shaped at the moment and the guys have done a brilliant job. They will now be moulded so that they will always be symmetrical. Great bearing surface too. The gullet is 2 and 1/4 ", has to widen out towards the front to allow for slight closing together as it is flexible, when girthing up.

These will be available from end of February all being well, depends on reliability of shipping too, but once we can start bringing in regular shipments, supply will be no problem. thumbs

What size is the one in the photo Heather?

Would you be able to post a picture of you or someone sitting in it on a horse?

I dont know why, but i keep imagining my leg would be off the back of the saddle flap.   Undecided

Angela, it wont, it is the first consideration I have when designing a GP!! I have designed the flap to accommodate the leg in the dressage position too- I sat on it yesterday and there is plenty of room even with my long leg and deep thigh position. That was the 18" in the photo.  But yes will get some pics today of Kay sitting in it if needed!!

They've certainly made a lovely job of it, haven't they!

Heather - can you just explain again why the gullet flares at the front? When wider horses started getting popular some saddlers started making wide-tree saddles with flared gullets on the basis that they fitted wide shoulders better. However my own experience has been that such saddles tend to drop at the front when you ride for a few minutes, because they don't give even support. I assume that won't happen with your saddles, but I can't quite see how the front will narrow on girthing.

Simples Ros, Cheesy for the same reason the Vogue does! The saddle is flexible and when girthed up narrows in at the front to the same width all the way down the gullet. Have it the same width all the way down and it will nip in and narrow the gullet too much. But this is more so on the wide/extra wide which this saddle is. The narrower horse does not pull the gullet in so much on a soft tree or leather treed saddle.  nod wink

Are you likely to be doing a brown one? Reason I ask is with two horses and different riders somebody will pick the wrong saddle, I can see it coming. How soft is the seat? I am spoilt by your padded ones.

No brown, Jill, just cant stock 3 different lengths, two different widths, t in two models, and in brown as well. Just to stock one saddle in each size would mean 24 saddles in both brown and black!

We will do both in the leather version though. The seat is extremely comfortable!

I can see the problem and, luckily, I'm not bothered about colour... none of my saddles, bridles, girths, breastplates etc. match!  rolleyes  Embarrassed  laugh
