laugh sill boy! When we fitted a new dog flap a few months ago, Darcie was scared of it. Cue lots of photo opportunites of Paul and I on our hands and knees, head through the flap, coaxing him through.  rolleyes  laugh We did get there eventually, after a LOT of click and treating for every small try he made.  wink

I had a springer stay just before christmas, they are sooooooo cheeky. This one had a tail that held mud and then he used it to 'paint' my white kitchen walls!...  it took me days to get rid of the spray and mud he'd brought home.

Cracking good dogs to train though.

Yup - their tails pick up everything - mud, twigs, slugs, brambles - and I have a tide mark in my kitchen laugh

My friends labs took about 3 weeks to get used the new flaps - they are amazingly robust - can't say as I blame the dogs for their reluctance!

I have been on my hands and knees making encouraging noises - Josh has braved it once on his own - Otto was shakign even when I opened it for him! rolleyes laugh

UM have you thought about training doggie to open the door, give her a key, then she can come and go as she wants. No need then for dog flap.

You've got to love a spangle.  And I thought mine was something of a mini-bulldozer!  We haven't even got near that level of destruction...  laugh

My last one never broke anything Roo Smiley Although he did rip all his beds to shreds for the first few months rolleyes

Josh was in a spot of bother again last night Smiley

Had walked him up the farm with Y/O's dogs - she has 3 pugs and 3 labs, so when you add Josh and Otto to the mix it is pandemonium, but all the dogs have a thoroughly good time. Smiley

So, I get home with 2 exhausted and wet dogs. Josh was having a few issues with one of his paws - have since worked out with the aid of a friend that he had probably been nettled - checked paw and it looked fine, so decided to let him settle and see if all was OK. He normally spends his evenings with me, Otto and a selection of cats, but it suddenly dawned on me that he was no where to be seen. Hmmmmmm

So I snuck upstairs to find him lording it on my bed - which would have been OK if it was made up, as I have throws on it for just such an eventuality, but I had stripped it down, so my lovely wet, muddyish spaniel was lying on my feather bed topper - formerly white!  laugh Sigh.

Fortunately , I have a cover thing over the topper, so that is all that was filthy and the situation was easily remedied.

Why is it always Josh?! laugh

He was clearly feeling sorry for himself with his poorly paw , cos when he was unceremoniously evicted from my bed he dissappeared in to the spare room, and jumped on that bed - absolutely unheard of for him, but it is covered in throws etc, so I let him be.

Good news on the dog flap fron tho - Josh is smashing through it with gay abandon - but Otto  would rather try to squeeze through the cat flap (he can't - he is way too big!) than risk it! Smiley
