I am so excited, my copy of the new Pete Ramey book arrived today from America.  I have only had a quick flick through but it looks really interesting, lots of contributing authors including Robert Bowker, Hilary Clayton and Eleanor Kellon.  It has a text book type feel to it but written in a way that is easy to read, it is also possible to dip in and out of it which I like, loads of photos and diagrams as well.

I am hoping to read a fair bit of it before I hand it over to the OH as really it is his birthday present, there are 31 chapters so this could be quite an endeavour.

Any one else got it?

Sadly i haven't! I really want a copy though but will have to wait a while i think.

How much did it cost you inc postage if you don't mind?

It was expensive $205.95 including shipping which I think worked out about £130.  I justified it that the OH is very difficult to buy for so it was pretty much his only present, plus I get to use it as well.

Yikes, that's a pricey book!!  I hadn't heard anything about it though, so I'll go and investigate.  I've got a lot of time for Pete, he talks in a language people can digest easily and gain confidence from.    I'll certainly try to get a copy.  Thanks

Well I'm sorely tempted to buy it, looking at the contributors, there are some well respected veterinarians and scientists contributing to it, along with a serious dose of magnification photographs....maybe Santa will bring me one.  It'll be very useful to use when visiting clients to show them what's going on inside.

The bit I got to see of it I really liked.  My OH reckons 'it's ok' but doesn't seem in a hurry to lend it to me to finish reading ......  whistle
