Given Nelly's saddle doesn't fit and I've been unable to get a fitter out to adjust it (booked two, neither turned up rant ) and Heather's new saddles aren't available yet, I'm considering alternatives and came across this:

http://www.hidalgo-sattel.com/products/en/Dressage-Saddle/HIDALGO-VENICE-Flexible-Leather-Tree-Saddle-detach-panels.html

What do we think? Nice price, looks well made, and leather treed so should fit...

i really like that.

My friend has just bought a humongus highland x thats a little bit wider than Jim, not much, but has no whither. I suppose he will slim down now he's in a 'proper' home. She has been 'persuaded' by me to look at a treeless.

I have no idea what a flexi tree would be like only having had treed or my various tree less.. So im really interested to hear what this saddle is like.  What sort of width does it go to would you say.
Im also keen to go with a brown saddle next, and that on the picture looks a nice colour. Im thinking that if its ok...but 'if' she didn't like it id buy it off her for a reduced price... devil devil

Have you seen one in the flesh so to speak????

That looks nice - but wonder why they only do 17.5"?

Would be very interested in what you think if you get one Smiley

It says the total length is 46-48cm. I measured Nelly's back today from just behind the scapula to the last rib and it should be ok on her lengthways. Never seen them in the flesh but am very tempted to go for it...

It should be covered by distance selling regulations? Undecided

It's not being sold from the UK so the UK regulations won't apply - it'll be the regulations of whatever country they're trading from

Thanks - useful reading thumbs Just searched their terms and conditions and they state that "You have the right to cancel your order within seven working days of delivery (starting the day after you receive the goods) and return them for a full refund."

Have had an email from one of the saddle fitters I'd booked before to say she'll be in my area again soon and can come in and adjust Nelly's saddle. Fingers crossed that'll work out, otherwise I can see the credit card getting some exercise...

So what is this saddle like on the underside?? is it soft, and does it look like its a well made saddle..
ive got an Italian tree less, the freemax, and its great to ride in. Ive nothing against getting another, id just like to know more about it first, its my recommendation after all, might be wrong move to agree to do this for friend.

If I can't get my current saddle sorted and do buy one I'll post lots of photos - until then, I know nothing Smiley

I'll wait then. laugh

Having put the bendy thing on both friends pony and Jim, there really isn't much in them, so one of these would fit either.
