That is the whole point of them, Wendy, the fact that they are flexible, spread the weight exceptionally well and also do not bridge, self levelling on most horses. My patent was based on a patent for a leather treed saddle, that patent was 130 odd years old. They have been around for a very long time, and look really like a leather version of a plastic tree.

Hi Heather, I think this is what I am looking for as I like the flexibility of the Fhoenix but was unfortunately I think I need to go back to a treed saddle for me as I wibble about too much - until I get back into riding again I just need more support - will this be the case with the leather tree? (crosses every body part in hope  Smiley)

Yes it is very stable, Louisa, feels just like a treed saddle only generally more comfortable!

I'm really excited to see these saddles at YHL.     Have also mentioned to my sister who may be after a dressage saddle  thumbs thumbs

Ditto Chrissie! Nelly's muscled up so much that I reckon her current saddle will only go one width wider before it starts bridging or rocking so she'll be needing a new one soon rolleyes

Heather, would they work for a horse with high withers. I currently have the barefoot lexington because of its flexibility, but have recently started using my bates isabel with a suber pad. Thanks
