When Jim came he was like two ponies stitched together. He had piddling little steps, both front and back were at odds with one another, in that they did their own things.
Front did trotting ok, back did titchy nothing, they did not go under, they just went up and down.
We spent months working on the problem, and Ive just seen this picture taken last lesson, which shows quite clearly that he is using his hind legs so much better now.
We have been doing loads of rein back to trot, and to canter, with some hill work out hacking, with trot transitions to get him to use himself better. It seems to be working.
Im sure you will agree that this is a good shot of a hind leg doing its job.
