I've had a lovely day out and come home to find another thread gone south

no idea why you had to remove yourself Emma and I was really looking forward to seeing Z

I didn't take anything IW said as over critical

I know she can be a tad ott and in the past I've had to slap her a bit

but she's generally great at spotting stuff.
I received the email comment you originally made ref the SI on my vid

yep certainly too much bend but I blame IW (and an equine horse massage lady on an old forum we were on together about 5 years ago) because they encouraged me to use the i/s bend stretches on circles to help the back and as result I found that if you ride a SI style movement and overdo the bend (but essential you keep the 1/4's stepping under the centre) and avoid the head tilting you can let out each vertebra down the neck and then release everything down into a stretch on a circle

you then immediately change the rein and do it on the other rein until you have a horse that can stretch out and down moving from one rein to the other without the softness going, it works great for a cube with a short neck but I would probably use it with caution on anything longer!
Just to show the opposite (if you're still watching the thread) my 10 yo rode him the other day and whilst she doesn't overcook the bend she loses the hind stepping under

and the angle.
Swiftly glancing back I liked the last post from Omar

must get reading my Decarpentry again
