Hi Johanna

Well.....coincidentally, I've recently made the decision to change him onto Simple System feeds, cos I wanted to exclude starch and sugar from his diet as much as possible, for the behavioural / ridden issues, and for the weight-watching issues!

I always thought his diet before was pretty low in starch and sugar (Bailey's LoCal and Dengie Good-Doer), but, on closer investigation, i found out that even these so-called 'diet' foods were full of molasses!  They stick 'for good doers' on the bad, and we always fall for it, don't we?

He's now on LucieCobs, a very small amount of Total Eclipse and apple cider vinegar.  He's only been fully on this diet for about a week now, and he's been hacked out once in that time. He was very very laid back and not at all spooky on that one occasion, so this could be as a result of the new diet, or it could just be a coincidence....more test-hacks are needed I think!
