..... whilst I am waiting for my membership to be processed?
Well, here's hoping that I can

I learnt about Heather and EE through my membership with Intelligent Horsemanship - where I've followed many of Heather's contributions on the DG with interest. I have lurked here for far too long, and thought that it really was time that I made myself official.
I live on the Devon/Cornwall borders (so nice and close to East Leigh!). Originally we bought a house with land so that I could keep my horse at home, but things have progressed rather since then

Several years ago I attended a course run by the Dartmoor Pony Heritage Trust, on "Handling the unhandled feral foal", working with young dartmoor ponies straight off dartmoor itself. It was highly emotional, and I ended up buying two of the ponies I worked with.......
Pip.....

..... and her half sister Polly, who turned out to be a bit special as she was a BOGOF deal, and we also ended up with a colt foal who we called Puzzle.

My first riding horse was a lovely TB called Camills Millenium Hope, or Millie for short (she thinks she's Kate Moss

)

Then things started to get serious
I had for a long time been an admirer of the Andalusian PRE's and managed to find a lovely girl for sale, but for a variety of reasons I wasn't able to buy her. So, I took my time, and carefully researched the breed, and found Rachel and Paul Bettens down at St Piran's stud in Penzance, and fell in love with a brood mare they had for sale called Ritmica who was due to foal in 3-4 months. I bought her purely on gut instinct - as Rachel said "she looked like a moose", but she had the sweetest temperament. Now, some of you more long-standing EE forum members may well have heard of Ritmica, as there are several old posts by Rachel talking about her (small world, eh?) Anyway, here she is, in all her muddy glory!:

And then, between buying Ritmica and waiting for her to foal at the stud, and then move down to mine, the first PRE I had looked at came back up for sale. She had by this time had several homes, and had a foal that had died at 6 weeks of age - I couldn't let her go a second time, so Reyes came to join my herd:

I really do have to pinch myself, because somehow I have managed to acquire the most fantastic ponies and horses. They are all incredibly special in their different ways, and all have a home here for life.
Hope you've enjoyed the piccies.
Looking forward to chatting with you all, and learning loads and loads!
