A couple of weeks ago, one of my friends arranged for 12 of us to have lessons with Jive Pony. Becca and Rosie came with four horses, 2 younger and 2 older ( 2 overheight highlands, and 2 coloureds) . We learnt on a  barrel first, then did some walk work on the younger, then some canter work on the older.

It as absolutely fabulous. Age range was from 7 to 60, and al enjoyed it. One of my friends , who wold categorise herself as "nervous rider" was cantering around backwards on one of the highlands, grinning from ear to ear.

On the rider training side, a great way for confidence and balance. And when I rode mine later in the day, my hips were certainly stretched. And a great work out -  I ached all over the next day.

So , if you get a  chance, have a go!!

Here is video just to prove I did it ( Am going to send this to my orhopaedic consultant as proof of recovery after 2 new ligaments in my knee last september!!)
