Hello from another newbie thumbs

Just had to reply to your thread because I also had seen Lorca's photos on the St Piran's forum - my mare Riti was a brood mare at the stud for several years before I bought her, and Rachel and Paul have been really helpful - I have learnt loads from them.

PREs are truly wonderful horses, and Lorca looks to be a splendid example - gorgeous movement, with film star good looks. wub Good job my mares can't see my computer screen! You are one very lucky lady.

Looking forward to hearing how he progresses at St Pirans, and then onto Heather's - wow, what a fantastic way of starting his UK education!

Hi

Glad you like Lorca; he is a bit gorgeous!  But, so are your girls!  Loved your photos - the herd is growing!   thumbs and, we're practically neighbours and so hope to see you at East Leigh - we'll be there from mid-July.... I do feel very lucky!

Hiya Carole,

Thanks for your nice comments re; the girls. I am totally smitten with the PRE as a breed, and particularly love their work ethic - my girls seem to try so very hard to please.

Great to hear that we're practically neighbours, and I will be at East Leigh in August so might be able to take a peak at your fabulous boy with my own eyes! What are your plans for him?

Hey there,

"I am totally smitten with the PRE as a breed" - me too!  I was at Jenny Rolfe's yesterday for a demo and saw her lovely stallions.  Want to do loose work, in-hand, dressage (not competitively though and no hurry), but he also loves going for a hack!  He got really excited in Marbella when we went up into the mountains for an hour's ride - he was amazing on the roughest terrain and behaved impeccably!  (and we were with a mare and stallion).  Have made the (difficult) decision to geld him though, as he'll be able to be turned out with Heather's boys and girls... he's got a pretty laid back character, but is getting a bit livelier already with extra food, exercise and turnout at Rachel's.  You'll definitely see him in August... he should be nicely settling by then.

That head shot is just absolutely stunning isnt it folks? Rachel is clearly a dab hand with a camera! Quite unlike a friend who is sadly having to sell some lovely horses, and her photography is definitely not helping the sales! I ticked her off today and told her to get herseld someone with a good eye for a pic. And as for my new groom, she sent me some pics of a lovely young warmblood that she backed and started and is being sold. I told her that it is a good job she is a far better rider than photographer, or I would send her packing! rofl rofl rofl ( good job I already know her Lips Sealed!!)

But what a mover Lorca is too- I am in love with him already and he is not  even my horse!!  nod
