Hello to everyone - I have been a member for a couple of years, didn't let the membership lapse, just somehow didn't continue to post.  I was at a Kelly Mark's demo last evening and met Heather and she more or less told me to get back on the forum... so here I am.  I have had on loan for the last year a beautiful 15.2 dark bay mare called Georgie and am lucky enough to have a Vogue saddle which G loves as well as myself.  G is aged as am I so we have lots of hacking fun together.  I have her in a livery near Stourhead so we have pleaty of gorgeous hacking in the Stourhead woods.  I look forward to being back.  Mosie.

I had a great time at Kelly's demo, she started a beautiful mare and got a non loader loaded.  Apparently, the horse did load previously and there was some sort of trauma, that frightened it and for the past 4 years refused to load at all.  At the end of the demo the horse was going in and out of the horse box like an old pro.  I think the owner was going to have someone from IH come to continue working with her and her horse to ensure the loading continued.  There was an exhibition with Pi and a couple of other horses some trec with pi and Kelly - it was good.  My neighbour who came with me is unhorsey and she enjoyed it very much.  She has two collies that her husband does dog agility with and she thought there was a common thread with the training of dogs and horses, which I suppose there is.   The best part was seeing Heather again.  I went up to Eastleigh when I first retired and wanted to get back to riding, did the simulator course and loved it, then she sent me to June's in the New Forest to take lessons which was great and then I got Georgie. It could be said that I should probably have more lessons, but I only hack.  I used to carry a crop, only to be able to move George over if necessary when there is traffic, but she is so responsive to my leg that no crop is required so never carry one except in the summer I have one with hair on the end to swish the flies away.  That's all bye for now...
