I've been away from this board for a few months, due to pesonal circumstances. In fact, I had to refrain from my usual activities, namely my horse/riding and the donkey shelter.
Very slowly I'm starting to find my feet and I'm picking up life from where I left it.
One of the priorities in my agenda was to express a heart felt THANK YOU to all our friends and supportes on this board for the great Xmas Auction.
In fact, I wanted to share what the monies raised allowed us to do.

We had a donation of planks of wood from a private source.
This money, combined with the monies from the EE auction, enabled us buy wooden poles and extra wood and then we were able as well to hire a carpenter to build a better field shelter.
The donkeys loved it, and in the peak of the heat, many use the shade to cool down.
It is used by four residents and the extra space allowed us to accept an old, grumpy mule and an extra jenny. And this is a good thing, as two more animal lives were saved due to the extra shelter.
This field shelter will stand as a monument to EE generous community.

My friend Joy came to visit and she was impressed!
