That is interesting Heather. Must go pay Lou a visit and grab another lesson then next time I am out her way. She is a brilliant teacher and Copy is so sweet. So glad she is managing to combine both western and classical

Hi sixfootblonde's OH! I doubt if you will remember me but you might remember there were two very nervous people on Iclandics doing their first James Shaw couse. I was the old one! We had a little chat just before the clinic finished.
I agree with what has been said that James is a very approchable and unassuming guy, one of those people with whom you instantly feel at ease. The groundwork exercises were excellent! As for the riding part of it, I can't really comment as I was too busy panicking to get a huge amount out of it. That's no judgement on James' teaching, I'm just a nervous sort of person with a history of falling off my horse an embarrasing number of times! We mainly concentrated on getting my breathing under control and in the end I did manage to relax and when I did, so did my horse! I would definietely go to another James Shaw clinic if there was one within reasonable travelling distance.
