Anyone know or heard of Perry Wood as a Classical trainer sorry to show my ignorance as I'm fairly new to Classical Dressage? Retired Show jumper and Show rider at heart!

Never head anything bad about him and lots of good.    I think I remember Heather knows him from a thread ages ago?

I bizarrely went on a riding holiday many many years ago in Devon where he ran the centre with his OH - it was before he was known as a classical teacher, but he was a fab ride leader, so much fun and a very good horseman.

I've been wanting to get to one of his clinics for years, but never quite get round to it.

He seems to know his stuff and have a lovely sense of humour - he has a great way of putting things.

I like Perry hes crazy  laugh

I know him from Eriks clinics years ago so have never seen him teach, also saw him ride at Rodrigos clinic a couple of years ago so have only seen him as a rider rather than a trainer but he seems like a nice bloke.

I've ridden for him a few times (clinics), I mostly wanted help with my motivation and thinking and such... that's probably the best part about him, lots of fun and stuff like think the f-word  whistle or imagine you're an ent (my horse bucked at that  laugh). He does adjust alot to what you whant and need.

And the theory is great as well, among other things you get too crawl around on all fours mimicking the movement of the horse.

He's a good trainer, if you have the chance go try or just watch (you'd still get to do the theory stuff)

I thought the clinic is a bit over priced £195 plus arena hire. Think I might go and watch instead! Save my pennies for when we manage to kidnap Heather again!

Would you be taking the wonderful Ollie, Fee? And if so, I would be interested to know if Perry offers to ride him devil!!!! I LOVE that horse! There was one very similar to him at the Patrick Print clinic down here last weekend, not as beautiful as Ollie, but almost as talented. They didnt even know his breeding! Shocked
