Just heard that a friend has had to say goodby this evening, to her beloved horse.

This is the welsh cob who took every sidesaddle championship he went in for, including the welsh nationals with his young previous owner Mellisa Harrison.

He was a stunning creature, who had begun a new life with my friend, and who was truly loved.

Sadly he  began to show signs of arthritis in his fetlock joint 7 months ago, and from then got worse until he could no longer weight bare on the joint. The vet came tonight and helped him leave the world.

I never rode him, but would have loved to, he was a beautiful kind and trusting horse who had given a lot of people a huge amount of pleasure. RIP George.
