I have just found Lola my little female chin dead on the spare room floor. Bit shocked tbh. The two of then have had free run of the room for at least 2 weeks as Lola refused to go back to bed! She was a dear little thing and much braver than Charlie. She was still quite young in chin terms, so an at a loss as to why she died. Had not seen her since Tuesday as she had lots of hiding places. Just hope she did not suffer.  Run free my little Lollipop.

Bounce free over Rainbow Bridge dear Lollipop.

Lots of hugs for you Bradders and for Charlie. Chin longevity seems very variable. My last chin died this time last year - she was a venerable 18 though and was senior resident mammal. She remains the longest lived house pet I've had since I moved in with him indoors.

Thanks all  hug

Poor Charlie is a bit subdued - but then, he has never been particularly outgoing Smiley

Lola has had an extra 18 months or so - she had trouble with ther teeth - they were done by the vet once, but she struggled with beign knocked out and had to be kept in for ages - cost me a fortune, and distressed her a lot.

I took her to be vet when she started to dribble badly, fully expectign her to be PTS, but vet said she was not ready for that. So did some research on the internet  and finally found an obscure reference to calcium phosphate powder - had an amazing effect - she stopped dribbling and chewed everything Smiley

She was a real charachter. Smiley

Very sorry for your loss.  hug

Little rodents tendo to simply depart, without any warning, any signs, when we less expect.
I lost two bunneis in the last couple of months; Tambor in November (found dead in his cage) and Dolly just three weeks apart... Dolly was bearly a year old.  cry
Maybe they live life too intensely...
