Yes agreed Nettie, wise words of Heather's but that's just it and what concerns me most, not everyone (by a long way) is as wise as her and I'm not sure they always have the ability to judge what's right or ethical. Sometimes I think it would be wiser to look at the horse in front of you and work it out for yourself, it isn't rocket science but there is a great deal of pressure put on us ordinary riders/trainers to have 'credentials' and the odg's seem often to be used by some in this way  wink and often they seem just to pick out the bits they like  laugh
I think reading books backed up with bucketloads of practical work is good but I'm not sure that wading through Cavendish will be any help at all to me  ouch  laugh  I guess it's all just an evolutionary process.
