I am a member!!!!   yahoo

After meeting a couple of you through work, I can't wait to get to know everyone on here. And after spending so much time focusing on other people and their horses, my riding is definately suffering. I am hoping I will be able to pick up a few pointers on here along the way to get me improving in the saddle   whistle

My horses are a bunch of miss fits really, but I love them to bits. Zig and Zag, my 4 year olds. Bought as foals with the intention of them being driving horses for my OH. He hasn't had much time to spend on the driving side, so I have been putting my stamp on them. Zag is under saddle and working nicely in small doses and learning how to be a grown up. Zig is having physio as he is uneven due to an injury last year. His muscles need retraining and he is well on the way to evening out  thumbs

Then there is Lady of Lisle (Lisla) an ex racer, ex dressage and ex show jumper. 12 years old. Bar fired at 7yrs and extreme atrophy meaning I am giving her all the time and help she needs before being brought back into work. Well I say work, but it will be a holiday compared to the busy life she has had. She is my big project atm. She is such a sweet natured mare. She deserves the chance to take things slowly, be healthy and enjoy life for the rest of her days.

Suki, the traumatised newfie. Well on the way to being my daugthers lead rein pony!

Schillay, the Highland. Retired Driving Trials pony. She sees that the youngsters that come to me have good company on their first outings into the outside world! She also dabbles in the odd Gymkhana for my daughter until Suki is ready to take over  Smiley

Then Pirate, the Eriskay. FMIL's pet. He only has one eye and is as cheeky as they come due to being completely spoilt by FMIL!!!

So that is my crew and I am sure you will be hearing lots more about them. You have been warned  wink

Will try and get some pics on here of them all but I have NO idea how so might take a while.

A BIG thank you to Lucia for my early crimbo pressie  hug

 wave

Hello and welcome,

Wow someone more crazy than me  nod.......

I have 3 horses and a 37" spotted shetland at my yard plus one out on permenant loan to a 5* friend home to potter about in old age with the one-to-one care the special chap deserves that I can not offer with all the others.

I do not think yours are misfits - they sound wonderful and it sounds like they have a wonderful home.

Would love to see pics when you have time.
