Im Sam and live in Aberdeenshire.  I have had lessons on and off for years but never really seem to get anywhere.  I have recently bought a Highland pony that I plan to have lessons on and hopefully build up a good partnership together.  I have been reading about the Equi-simulator course and plan to book myself on one once my hip/back gets a bit better.

wave Hello! There are a few of us up here to keep you company  Smiley One of my neds (well he's on loan, and actually belongs to "Erin's Mum" on her) is a Highland too. Your boy looks like a nice chap. Do you have your Bulgarian horses over here too?

Lisa

modified to add: Maybe your Highland isn't a boy! Sorry, I assumed!

 Embarrassed Thank you Heather  Smiley

Yes, Sam I am - not exactly Inverurie but I teach in that area as its on my way home from work. Have been pretty ill for a few months, but on the mend now I think... so you get better and I'll get better and then we'll both be up for lessons! Be good to meet you and your crowd :-)

Apologies to your girl...reassure her she doesn't look masculine!

Lisa

Thanks everyone. The Bulgarian mare was pysically shaking with the cold a month ago so I went and bought her a rug.  It went down down to -20 in Bulgaria and she was fine unrugged there but the damp and wind here in Aberdeenshire was just a bit too much.  She is fine now she is rugged.

Abuela Благодаря Ви много. Вие сте български език? :-)

wave hello from another scot! Lovely neds you have there- especially the hippo but then i am a bit bias having had Mulberry (part of Lisa's crew now)  Smiley

I don't know if it is of interest to you but re. the hip/back pain, just had a fantastic ridden session with Pauline Kidd http://www.paulinekidd.com/index.htm who's up your way. I understand she does dismounted work as well and from what I know can really help with that kind of thing in relation to riding. Might help to get you ready and raring to go for your Lisa lessons  thumbs
