Otoh there is also a certain element within classical dressage who do seem to like to keep everybody as beginners trotting 20m circles forever.  whistle

oh u have that there too?? well, at least i don feel like i'm in the end of the world anymore, LOL! all 3 schools here do nothing but that! there isn't one single time I pop there to take measures for a saddle that I don see everyone trotting no end! I thought it was some modern dressage fashion... and can u believe even with all that trotting my cousin left the school 2 years later without knowing how to raise the trot?? I, who don't even know how to do it properly, taught it to her in a single lesson... mahn, why is it always "do as you're told and not as I do"  laugh wallbash Heather's book is really a great tool for a teacher! maybe I should make my cousin read it so she can teach me in return!  doh
