The size picture allowed by the boards is 100kb which is tiny. To resize you need to go down to 100 x 100 pixel on the program you are using. The picture is then very small for people to see. The reason being that the forum web space then has to save this.
To get the best results photo wise get a photobucket account (free of charge)
http://s46.photobucket.com Once you are registered and set up -
Go into your photobucket account and upload the pictures you want to post
- you will see an area mid right of screen with boxes and 'browse' next to them
- click browse on the first box
- find the picture you want on your computer by going into the relevant file
- repeat in the next box(es) for subsequent photographs
- once complete click 'UPLOAD'
- wait and once it says '1 of 1 image has uploaded'
- scroll down and you will see the image
- under the image you will see 4 boxes titled :

- click once on the IMG Code (it will turn blue)
- Copy (Ctrl+C)
- then go to whereever in your post you want to put the picture
- Paste (Ctrl+paste)
- when you are creating the post all you will see is a piece of code [IMG]htpp://..........[IMG] where the photo will appear
- once you 'POST' your thread the picture will appear
You can string in as many pictures as you like, photobucket resizes them for you. This is much better than uploading because
a) you get a good sized clear picture
b) the forum references the picture from photobucket so it doesn't have to hold the picture on file
Video clips can be done in exactly the same way on photobucket, you tube etc
When sending photos by email, you can copy the Direct Link into your email and receiver just clicks on the link to see the picture. This means if you have loads to send the email stays small
