Nanny

My nan passed away this afternoon, I have all sorts of mixed emotions, I didn't know her very well anymore and feel guilty that I didn't make more effort and incredibly sad.
But this is a tribute to her, may she find unending happiness wherever she is with my grandad now.

I know how you feel. My Nan died recently too, she was my last remaining grandparent so that left me feeling like I'd moved up a generation. Now my parents are the "older generation" and I'm the one responsible!

RIP Drummersmum's Nanny.
Grandparents are very wise Drummersmum, they bring up their children and let them go, then have fun with their grandchildren. Your Nanny loved you very much and is proud of where you are now - she knew if you needed her you would come to her, and she knew if she really needed you, you would always be there. Mourn her loss and then treasure those lovely memories you have of all the good times.
