The foal photos were taken the day we bought her at ten days old and the latter ones are one at about three months, some as a yearling and as a two year old last year.

She is a lovely gold colour at the moment but I haven't taken any pictures this year.  I will do so soon because it is very interesting to see the changes even a few months can make.

Bye for now,

Chris Smiley

She's beautiful  wub wub She has such lovely ears too

Coat colour changes are amazing. My dark bay mare has come through a different colour every summer - this year there were lots of ginger dapples. And the most amazing ginger guard hairs as her coat changes (thought my girl was supposed to be 5/8 TB not a cart horse )

Hi everyone,

Hareeq thanks you for the lovely comments!  I know I am extremely lucky to have such a lovely horse and that is why I am really trying to learn more to try to do the best for her.

Bradders wanted to know her breeding & Shoveltrash was  72% right as she has that percentage of Arab and rest is almost exclusively Thoroughbred with a dash of  one welsh pony, which probably accounts for the Palomino colouring.

Heather, you can see why we bought the little imp!  Can you imagine that little thing cantering around her mother in the stable – quite irresistible!  With regard to showing her - I did have great plans but of course had no idea when we agreed to buy her that I was going to have a hysterectomy let alone all the resulting problems and because of this the in hand showing all went out the window.

We have taught her to load and she was very good at the two local shows we did manage to get to but to be quite honest I didn’t have the energy to turn her out as well as I would have liked, which I felt bad about. The other thing is I think she may look  a bit too Araby for part Arab classes and there are very few Palomino classes locally.
We are not interested enough to go too far  a distance with her as we only really wanted her to gain experience of the sights and sounds and other horses.

Primarily she was bought to replace my old Palomino who was a great friend and hack but I must admit I now would love to do a bit of Riding Club level dressage and jumping as I am very aware that some  people consider her to be an impractical purchase ( in fact a bit of a blonde bimbo} and also consider me to be well past my sell date so this naturally makes me want to prove the point!  They may well be right about the latter but Hareeq is very intelligent and sensible enough underneath to tackle most equestrian pursuits with the right training so we will just have to see……………….

Last night Garry, my OH, came down to the field with his camera and took some shots of me free schooling her and one of her impersonation of a helicopter!!!!

What a beautiful girl, another whose dream horse was always a palomino.    My older sister had a friend with a Palomino Anglo Arab when I was a young teen and I was just blown away by him and still have a huge soft spot for them.

cc_confused cc_confused s*d "some people", with that combination of Arab, TB and Welsh, she is going to be some stunning horse and able to turn her hoof to anything she sets her mind to I would think  wub

Although me being me, I'd have her pulled and plaited as a part bred  devil  (but I'm known for my anti hair issues!!!  laugh)
