Thank you for the welcome Heather. The Arabs I have at the moment are straight Egyptian and Egyptian related/sired. Three of the Arabs I now have came to me with problems. Rooster my colt I bred myself (long awaited) out of my lovely Crabbet/Old English mare who eventually had to be put down when he was 8 months, so he, God willing, stays here.
Ahanu (straight Egyptian) my stallion and Kuranna (Anna) are high stepping as is Rooster. Soneva (straight Egyptian) (Evie) has the daisy cutting action which people seem to think is the true Arab action, but I love the higher knee action the others have. Evie reminds me of a jumping/gymkhana pony as she is very balanced and can turn on a sixpence. The others have longer strides and higher knee action, Anna has very much the hovering in the air gait when excited.....not always so good to be on the other end of the lead if she fires up.

If I were to type all the trials and tribulations and problems these three came to me with I would be on here forever. A combination of, starved, longstanding infections, frightened of men (Evie), Ahanu had shut down and wouldnt stay in a field for longer than an hour; Anna couldnt buck as no muscle she was so thin, and drank gallons of water when I first got her.
So, that's just a little about them. I am hoping to get Ahanu backed before next year. He now know's he's a horse and neither of the three look like the same horses. So, hopefully, upwards and onwards with them.
