Hi, I've recently joined the forum so thought I'd introduce myself  wave

I own a 14.3hh, 8yr old skewbald cob called Colonel, or Kur for short  Smiley I have only been riding for 2 and a half years, and he is my first horse. He can be a bit of a handful and definitely knows how to throw a strop! But he's great, and he teaches me alot  Smiley He is kept at Blidworth, near Mansfield.

I have been lurking around the forum for a while after my friend Sarah (TheJetSet) told me about it, and I have recently bought a HM Fhoenix saddle, off Diane Smith, which I love  Smiley

Will post pics of Kur in his new saddle soon, but for now here's an oldish pic of us jumping.

Coloured cobs are certainly not the simple souls that lots of people take them to be  wink
Glad you're learning from him - horses definately are the best teachers  nod

Hi there and welcome!!

One of our EETs has written a book to be published by J A Allen, called 'Cobs Can'! It just shows what a good cob can do! thumbs

Hello and welcome, your boy looks lovely.

Another one that thinks coloured cobs are not the easy peasy horses people think they are, but usually multi talented beasties  thumbs

Hello and welcome to EE. My equine soul mate is a very loveable but opinionated coloured cob. She's retired now but she showed that cobs can do dressage - but she regularly reminded me that she preferred jumping.

Hmm, he isn't too loveable, he can be a bit grumpy, but certainly opinionated  rolleyes He can be a softie at times though and he enjoys having his face brushed  Smiley Kur also prefers his jumping!
