Hi, I have just joined and waiting for my full membership to kick in, so thought I'd introduce myself here first.

I just had a super lesson from Heather yesterday on my wee black cob - if I'm honest I was a little bit apprehensive about this, as Toby (my cob) and I had only been back riding for less than 2 weeks, after a mammoth 7 months off work, due to him having a serious wither infection, then I had an accident, then we couldn't get a saddle to fit and then 6 weeks ago I had a knee operation - it really was one thing after another  sad angry
However I am pleased to say we found a saddle to fit (unfortuantely not one of Heather's, poor Lisa tried everything to get one to fit  hug but it wasn't meant to be) - I managed to source an Isabell Werth which had been converted to Flair and it really fits him well and suits him and I !
I thoroughly enjoyed my lesson and could not believe the things I came away with (having had regular dressage lessons for 5 years now, I was amazed that none of my other instructors had ever mentioned or picked up on the things Heather did!)
I am eagerly awaiting when she will be next back up so that I can book my space !!  I have some pics that my OH kindly took and hope I can manage to get these up (sorry they are just of my lesson, I could not make the demo on the Friday)

I ended up with an Isabell Werth (extra wide gullet) and that had been converted to Flair - bargain found on Ebay  wink

Hi Karen,

And welcome!! I can testify to just how gorgeous ( and talented) Toby is- he is a truly stunning cob. I just wish that Karen lived closer as I would love to work with him regularly!!

I hate to recommend the Isabell, as Bates ripped me off when I was designing a saddle for them, and incorporated much of my design into the Isabel, but I have ridden on several lately, and whilst I still would like to punch the Bates Bros on the nose, the saddle is the best of the treed bunch that I have ridden on, and fitted Toby very nicely, Karen thumbs.

Will try to get back up to Scotland again- such a great welcome from everyone and a lot of fun too!

Welcome to EE Karen! Both you and Toby did really fab, especially when you consider what you've gone through recently!
