Pferdiatv sent me the Ingrid Klimke three DVD set to see if it would be of interest to EE members. I can tell you, IT IS!! As I would have expected of her, the work is exemplary. Frankly, I did not like Ingrid's earlier riding, compared with her brother Michael, but she has become far more elegant in her seat, over the last few years, and she is riding beautifully on these DVDs as is her husband, Andreas. She has trained since her Father's death, with Paul Stecken, now in his 90's and still teaching- he is amazing!!

Yes, the horses are all incredibly talented and stunning warmbloods, not exactly your average British riding club type, but the work is so pure, and working always for lightness, and applicable to any horse. This is the very best of the German classical school, and absolutely what I would wish to see in the competition arena.

The DVDs cover 4yr olds in the first, 5 yr olds in the second and 6 yr olds in the third. One of the 6 yr olds has been ridden overbent, presumably with a previous owner, as their first task is to correct this. LDR/rollkur is as anathema to Ingrid as it was to her Father nod.

Each horse is ridden first on the flat and then over fences, both show jumps and cross country, even the pure dressage horses. All are turned out daily, and Ingrid it is clear, is absolutely for the welfare of the horse.

This is by far the best series I have seen in a long time, and as always, Pferdia are to be thanked for producing them in English, for us poor knowledge starved Brits. Without them, we would have almost no videos worth watching! Thank you Thomas, Inge and Carole!! thumbs

We will be selling them in the shop as soon as we can get them!

Ooh, saw them advertised and wondered if they would be any good. They can go on the wish list given your glowing endorsement Heather.
