My friend has had to make the very sad decision to have her beautiful mare put to sleep
She got her 18 years ago, a year after I got my oldest mare. We spent our teenage years together, sharing rides and horsey trials and tribulations, and even though we have been at separate yards for some time, our mares still recognised each other when they met up.
Teekie was a lovely mare, spirited and excitable, but gentle and very loyal. A fantastic jumper, she gave valuable experience to my friend and her sister. Her loving nature really shone through when my friend had her daughter: she was so gentle with the little one.
A treasured best friend, who knew how much she was loved, and stayed true to the very end.
