Sergeant

Had an awful day today, it was my day off and I was in my office in the house when I heard a horse squeal from the fields. Not unusual in itself but I instantly knew something was wrong shot to the window and could see Sergeant, beloved horse of Emma who works with us, moving very oddly in one of the turnout paddocks. David and I shot out to him in the paddock but one look told us he was in trouble I left David and Emma with him while I phoned the vets. The vet was with us within about 20 minutes but he had broken his neck and had to be PTS.
He was one of the most genuine, kindest boys you could ever meet and absolutely adored Emma.

How awful. At least you were there to deal with it.
RIP Sergeant.

What a simply awful thing to happen, June, especially in post and railed paddocks like yours. It defies belief as to how he can have even done such a thing. Just shows you, you never know even in a safe environment, what can happen. So very sorry for Emma, and for all of you, in this week, with losing Disney too.
