just shows how important it is to wear a hat the horse fell from just her trying to move his haunches over got a bit tangled with his legs! and she hit her head.

How awful and scary that doing something so simple as asking a horse to move its backend over can have such a devastating outcome.

Agree about the hats too, maybe its time for the FEI to review dressage and make the top riders lead by example, at least in front of the public anyway.

It's never made any sense to me that dressage riders don't have to wear helmets.

I hate wearing a hat (suffer with migraines and dont like the pressure) but do always put it on. nod

Have you got a nice lightweight one, my troxel doesn't squeeze my head!

Scary though!  Just shows how easily these things can happen!

I have on many occassion not worn a hat but always do now................ never say it will never happen because it very well could and does  ouch
