In answer to your question I have tried alsorts!! I have a long standing back problem and am currently wating to have steroid injections into my spine.
My experiences are that Chiro, Osteo and Physio all produced a nominal improvement but basically were too agressive and created a circle of inflammation and pain. (I'm lucky to have a good clinc who say if they think what they do isn't helping)
Sports massage was a bit better but no lasting improvement and boy was I bad after a treatment

Bowen is the only thing that helps really. I was very sceptical and still struggle with the fact that it can make everything hurt so much but ultimatly make it so much better. My practitioner can make me jump as there is the odd advanced move (and some basic!) that can be painfull when your as wonky as me! I have to have multiple treatments - takes 4 or 5 at increasing intervals but then I can be ok for upto 6 mths when dependng on how bad it is 1 or 2 sessions will get me back in the saddle. (My practitioner is also a rider so can gear it to that and treats my horse to help her cope with my wonkyness

)
Considering I did fortnightly or monthly visits to everyone else over a 5yr period with little longterm improvement I'm very glad I found Bowen.
