Helen is there a way you can trial a strada just to see how it suits you?

nod I certainly won't buy without trying and I'll need to buy 2nd hand. There is one for sale near me, I was going to try it before the snow came.  rolleyes If the Capriole works out, I'll stick with that anyway. Thanks for the kind offer.  hug

I also had concerns re panel in cold weather too, they are very hard and board like at first until warm, not all neddies will accept that Embarrassed Embarrassed
Love the vogue though thumbs

I am wondering if this was the problem Rija had when I rode her Helen?  As I can't think that there was anything I was doing that should have upset her - and the last time I rode her she was fine.  I'll just have to try again to see ....  wink

It could be, Gill. I didn't think about it.  doh She hasn't reacted before though - I've ridden her five times in it and she's had a lovely relaxed swinging stride in walk from the word go. I think you were in trot quite quickly which was a bit different for her and also the ground was horrid - it was slippy in places, tacky in others and undulates so a big trot was going to be very difficult and unnerving.  wink

Yes maybe I was asking too much too soon - next time you had better warm her up first!  Smiley  I did find the saddle pretty comfortable though, and when she played up I didn't feel insecure (if that's any help to you!  laugh).
