Hello everyone I have finally got around to joining this forum after 'lurking' for a while. My name is Jade and I'm based in Edinburgh with my partner, 3 lurchers, 1 greyhound and my dutch warmblood Isaak who will be 17 this year.

I ridden since I was a child but it is only in the last few years that I have discovered classical riding and I am totally hooked. I am not a competitive rider but am striving to be the best I can be so I think that the Enlightened Equitation forum will be a great source of information and inspiration and I look forward to getting to know you all a bit better. I haven't yet worked out the technicalities of the forum so I'll post some photo's once I work out how to do it!

Wishing you all a fabulous new year javascript:void(0);

Hi Jade and welcome,

Oooo dog pictures too please. What type are your lurchers? We've got a small smooth-coated whippet-cross one.

Hi Jade and welcome!!

Look forward to your doggie pics especially- I lost my much loved ex racing greyhound a couple of years ago, aged 12. Love lurchers too!

Thank you all for the lovely welcome, I haven't logged on since my first post so was a lovely surprise  Smiley. Hope Millie has settled into her new yard Hammy, I thought you were still along at Pickle Dirt and hadn't realised you were had left. I haven't been hacking out at all with all this snow and ice so obviously not keeping up with current events!

Catkin I'm not sure exactly sure what crosses my lurchers have as they are all rescues but our best guesses are 1 Saluki / Greyhound, 1 x Greyhound with a bit of something hairy so deerhound or beardie and 1 x whippet / greyhound / maybe collie (from attitude not looks). Will apply myself to figuring out the photograph thing so you can see what you think.

Anyway thanks for the nice welcome and look forward to getting to know you all better.
