Anyone know where I can get one in this style?  Like the one in the Hilberger in hand book?

Thanks

Very lightweight with a rolled leather nose, would it be ok to scan a pic from the book in or is that not allowed??

Yes!  I got a beautifully soft one from Bentaiga in Germany.  It is identical to the one in the book. Smiley http://www.bentaiga.com/english/home_e.htm go to 'Bridles' then 'Serrata and schooling cavesson' and it is the second one down.  Smiley

Just been on that site and looked, think it would be perfect for Jinx.  I have been looking for something I can ride her in bitless and also have her in a bit to help her get used to it being in her mouth.  I am currently just using a rope halter but dont feel it gives clear enough signals.

Bringing up an old thread here, but I'm not having much luck trying to buy one (Can not get any answer from the link http://www.bentaiga.com/english/home_e.htm).  Anyone know of anywhere else or has anyone got one for sale?  Thank you Smiley

We get on very well with this one, it has a chain inside and no padding. http://academicartofriding.com/webshop/cavesson/

I have a similar one as we use them in Portugal a lot, but I am not happy with the middle ring on mine, as it causes the chain to have a bit of a lump in it, right on top of the nose  sad I have designed my own though and that will be one of the projects for this year- I hate the chain inside them and it really is not necessary!!

I have this one.

Unfortunately the photos aren't very good.  There is a bit of a close up here

The leather is wonderfully soft, and the whole caveson isn't so heavy.  At 79 CHF (approx £55) they are slightly (!) cheaper than the others  mentioned above.

I don't know how much it would be to order one from the site, but if anyone would like me to buy one and post it to the UK, I'd be more than happy to Smiley

I have tried a few of the chain ones. I have the Bentaiga, have tried the Markus Holst cavesson, the IV Horse and Amazonas, and prefer the Amazonas by a long shot. The noseband is beautifully padded and the leather is wonderful quality. They do a number of different colours and different ring colours. Smiley
