Way cheaper on Amazon http://www.amazon.co.uk/Falling-Fallacies-Misleading-Commonplace-Dressage/dp/386127969X/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1258400152&sr=8-1

Of course, it would have been cheaper not to have seen this thread in the first place  laugh

Thanks Claire  hug

Perhaps we should lobby our MPs - LAYE maybe? (Learn as you Earn). Books could be tax deductible..

I've ordered it from Amazon.co.uk as it's not available yet in the US.  Cost me a fortune with the $ conversion!  But it'll be worth it.  Does anyone know how it ties in to the 35 Propositions because it sounds as though it deals with a lot of the same subject matter...?

Look out for this upcoming issue of Horses For Life as Nadja's going to be reprinting a chapter of it.

SNC - that link you just posted led me to read again "Dragon's Breath" and "Gasping for Breath" -  cry cry sad sad

Astonishing though, when you see the photo of the show jumper and how able he is to draw enough breath without having to contort his nostrils and face ....  cry

Got the book and as always with JC, very interesting reading. At last, Desi Lorent's not turning the shoulders into a circle or turn, which I too have been teaching ( with plenty of ridicule from other trainers) for a couple of decades or more, has a biomechanical explanation, and vindication! JC agrees!!! yahoo yahoo yahoo The book was worth buying just for that alone!!

ok, halfway through now! loads and loads of info! not a very easy read but worth it! and i thought i was the only one thinking plain dumb for having calling renvers, travers and half pass to the same movement on different places. hahaha! that and many other dumb stuff we see, he explains to the most minute detail how ridiculous these missconceptions are. Oh well, it's the flaw of our era: people don't have time to think, they whant evertything handed to them on a silver plate, or more accurate-to-time, a computer file or a cellphone sms!  doh

I would preffer the same book written by someone like Philippe Karl or Heather herself though. I understand their writting much better and i get a few laughs in between as well.  rofl
